i'm jay gorrepati, a sophomore at stanford.
i'm broadly very interested in education and technology's potential in learning systems, alongside cognitive science, effective governance, and investing.
some specific things i've been thinking about lately have been:
- what AI for truly adaptive learning tools means in implementation.
- non-regulatory ways to sustain workforces across industries in an AI economy.
- how we can reduce friction in adopting AI across the backend of education.
- understanding the geopolitical implications of the compute race with technical friends.
- how future generations will gain access to learning technology in an increasingly unequitable society.
i like to read from substack, X, and academic output on the aforementioned topics, and recently i've been enjoying writing and producing myself:
previously, my work in education has included:
- helping preserve museums/cultural institutions at a civic education nonprofit.
- automating $XXXk of branding/fundraising for high schools at an athletic media company.
- spending a large part of high school scaling workshops for project based learning of history across several school districts, museums, and libraries, supported by associates at the obama foundation and WA policymakers.
i also enjoy collecting historical maps, DJing techno music, and finding vintage clothing.
